As the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton carried on with her tour of Friday, constantly complaining and blaming others for her loss, telling Wellesley seniors that they were graduating “at a time when there is a full-fledged assault on truth and reason,” and comparing the Trump administration to “authoritarian regimes throughout history.”
Apparently history is not Clinton’s strong side. Hillary compared President Donald Trump to Richard Nixon, who had been impeached. And in fact, he wasn’t, but he resigned.
Making this obvious mistake, followed by the fact that Bill Clinton was actually only the second American president to be impeached, she attacked the Trump administration of “defending themselves by talking about ‘alternative facts.’”
She also showed more “alternative facts” of her own, stating that Trump’s new budget is “an attack of unimaginable cruelty on the most vulnerable among us” and “a trillion-dollar mathematical lie.”
The irony is that she never said what she meant, but however she was in friendly territory. Hillary intention with her attacks wasn’t only on political level, but more to settle scores.
She went so far that she wanted to connect “Pizzagate,” a conspiracy theory, with Clinton associates were running a pedophilia ring. Hillary also hit Trump about his disputes for “the size of crowds” at his inauguration.
All this was a lousy performance. Hillary lives in the past with little sense for the future. She even attacked Trump for dividing America, and there is a clear reason why she want to do that. Obviously Americans disappointed her, and now she is bittered about that.
She had attempt to make a conclusion with inspiring note: “[I]t’s often during the darkest times when you can do the most good,” she said.
However, this only can be a reminder of how worse would the future be if she had won.
