The First Lady Melania Trump knows the best part of motherhood.
Back in 2006 she stated for the Palm Beach Post “The love. Its unconditional love,” that was the year that Barron was born. Her honor for the Mother’s Day the newspaper reprinted her interview.
The role of a mother is “wonderful,” she said. “Every mother knows this. It’s a miracle almost, I could say, that two people can create. It’s very, very special.”
“You can watch the baby, every move he makes. It’s just amazing,” she said.

Even though Mother’s Day in Slovenia, her native country is on a different day and has a different meaning, still some things are the same.
“In Slovenia, as a child in school, we always made a present in class to give to our mother. One year, I drew a picture of my mother. She saved it. When I look back, it’s really funny. A beautiful picture. Very strong colors. I saw it the last time I was at home,” she said.
“The family gets together. My sister, my dad and my mom. We would plan it so my mom didn’t know. We went together to buy flowers and presents for her. We made lunch and spent time together,” she said.
Melania did an interview about motherhood in July 2015 with Parenting magazine as well.
“I am a full time mom; that is my first job. The most important job ever. I started my business when he started school. When he is in school I do my meetings, my sketches, and everything else. I cook him breakfast. Bring him to school. Pick him up. Prepare his lunch. I spend the afternoon with him,” she said.
“Sometimes I have obligations, but I also think children need to see a parent do what her passion is. It is a good example for a child. So the child can find passion as well and follow that passion in the future,” she said.
She also talked about her parenting philosophy.
“I think the No. 1 parenting secret is that it is so important to have a good listening skills. I listen to what he says, what troubles him and what he is excited about. Then I can guide and support,” she said.
Melania said that learning from his own mistakes was crucial.
“I think is important to give a child room to make mistakes in order to learn. Mistakes build wings so later in life they can fly and go on their own. Let them fall once in awhile. When they do they will learn how to pick themselves up on their own when you aren’t around,” she said.
She said that parenting is also about respecting the child.
“If he says ‘no,’ we listen to him. It’s no and we don’t try to change it. It’s important to let them be who they are. Be their friend and parent as well. When they’re in trouble they will come to you first. Don’t try to change their opinion,” she said.
She also said creativity has in important role in the education, like the paint on the walls of their suite at Trump Tower.
“When he was smaller he started drawing on the walls. His imagination is growing and important. He draws on the walls in his playroom, we can paint it over. One day he was playing bakery and he wrote Barron’s Bakery on the wall with crayons. He is very creative, if you say to a child ‘no, no, no,’ where does the creativity go?” she said
